Found today. This is the third jay feather I've ever found.

Lucky you indeed! I have never found one, even in all my days surrounded by flocks of them when I lived in California...yes indeed, the deepest, truest blue ever... I am imagining that there might be blue jay feathers winging their way towards your shop :>]

one year i found the entire jay, dead. i gave it's body to the meadow. but, oh, my. i would have rather not made that windfall. such beauty.

I see and hear jays around here quite often but mostly they keep their feathers to themselves...

I have several - the bluejays leave them as gifts on the lawn. The cardinals however? Only one, ever. And they outnumber the jays 5 to 1.
